The noted Irish group The Chieftains are bringing their “The Irish Goodbye” tour to America's Finest City, where they will appear at Copley Symphony Hall on B Street in the city's downtown. During their 57-year career, The Chieftains won six Grammy® Awards, and been recognized around the world for their work in transforming traditional Irish music and bringing it to audiences everywhere. The group has been able to successfully blend modern and traditional music, which has given them a reputation as one of today's most revered musical groups.
Paddy Moloney, Michael Tubridy, and Sean Potts formed The Chieftains in 1962 in Dublin. They play instrumentals almost exclusively, and use the uilleann pipes to a great degree. In addition to the Grammys, in 2002 they received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
A reviewer attending a performance encouraged people to do the same, saying:
“The band’s musical precision and genuine affection for the music hasn’t diminished, so if you’ve yet to catch them live, it might be time.”
Paddy Moloney and The Chieftains' concert will run from 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm on February 25. Although the venue is symphony hall, the orchestra will not be playing at the event, and there is no intermission. Brochure printing is a good choice to develop programs for events like this, leaving room for information about the performers.
