A band that pays tribute to one of the greatest outfits in rock is on the way to San Diego.
Queen Nation honors the work of Queen, and is considered to be one of the best Queen tribute bands in the nation. The group was formed by DMHE Enterprises in Los Angeles in 2004, and in the last 20 years, has attracted approximately 2.5 million viewers around the world, as well as performing more than 1,250 shows.
The lineup is now Gregory Finsley, who handles keyboards and vocals and appears as Freddy Mercury; Mike McManus, who impersonates guitarist Brian May; Pete Burke as drummer Roger Taylor; and Parker Combs as bassist John Deacon. Using full, highly detailed costumes from the 1970s and 1980s, the four musicians recreate a Queen concert note-for-note. Audiences will hear giant hits such as “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
Finsley’s energy and voice are virtual duplicates of the legendary Freddy Mercury. Not only is he the frontman, he plays the piano live at all performances, and his abilities help create a performance that is vintage Queen in every aspect.
Among their accolades, Queen Nation has been inducted into the California Music Hall of Fame, and won the title “The Best Live Band” at the VCMAs, held in Ventura, California.
Queen Nation will be at the Music Box on January 19. Organizers who schedule events like this can use poster printing to create advertisements to promote them.
