As summer comes to a close, San Bernardino music fans can still enjoy the outdoors while supporting a good cause. This weekend, California State University, San Bernardino will be the site of Summer Groove Music Festival 2014.
Music will include R&B, jazz, neo-soul, and Latin. Guests are invited to sit on the lawn and enjoy the outdoors while listening to popular bands. This year, profits from the event will benefit the S.M.A.S.H (Single Moms Are Super Heroes) foundation; a non-profit agency that supports single mothers and their children.
Every year, the event plans to support more charities as it adds more entertainment and stages. There will be food trucks and vendors, along with information and retail booths, with freebies and raffles. Regular tickets are $35. A special VIP seating section (at $125 a ticket) will provide a buffet lunch dinner, event souvenirs, two beverage gardens, and hostess service. Attendees may wish to have flyer printing done to promote the event locally.
S.M.A.S.H. is an organization dedicated to helping single moms start their own businesses while still being able to effectively parent their children. It also has supporting programs formed to help children physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The festival will be held Saturday, August 30, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at California State University, San Bernardino, 5500 University Parkway, San Bernardino.
