San Bernardino welcomes free workshop to support parents

The P.O.W.E.R. Parenting Workshop is coming to the Young Visionaries Community Resource Center in San Bernardino this February.

The free event is for parents and those expecting a baby to offer support and tips to help them navigate being a parent.

The workshop is being held by the non-profit Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy. Organizers say the event will be an opportunity for parents to connect to others on the same journey of raising children, share what they’ve been through and engage in skill-building.

Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy was established in 2001 and they’ve served the youth of San Bernardino County ever since. Offering wraparound service for youth who are facing challenges, the non-profit attempts to intervene by encouraging participants to make positive life choices.

The organization said on its website they have served over 200,000 young people in the community — including at 50 different school campuses in and around San Bernardino. Some of the assistance Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy provides include encouraging participants to develop life skills, get jobs and perform well in school.

Community workshops like these may choose to use Business Cards to stay in touch with certain clients or flyer printing for a low-cost promotional tool.
