San Bernardino to protect children with run

San Bernardino will be organizing a race at California State University in April to raise awareness for child abuse prevention.

The C.A.S.A. of San Bernardino County's 13th Annual Heart of a Hero Run is an event where people can combat child abuse while assisting a beneficial organization. The route will go through scenic sections of California State University and have multiple water stations available to keep athletes comfortable. Participants can wear superhero gear at the race to receive a complimentary raffle ticket and be entered into the event's costume contest.

There will also be a Mentoring Resource Fair and Fun Zone held after the race to educate the public on how people can significantly impact the lives of local youths. Guests will also learn how they may become a Court Appointed Special Advocate to assist and inspire children. The Fun Zone will feature activities such as inflatables and carnival games. Those who market events similar to this may use banner printing to produce roadside Signs.

The run will take place on Saturday, April 23 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Adult registration for the race will cost $25, while children must pay $10. All attendees must register by April 21. The first 300 people who enter the race will be given a breakfast, a meal from In-N-Out, and refreshments.
