The Reaching New Heights Foundation will be organizing an event in San Bernardino to provide vital services to veterans in need.
The Veterans Standdown & Homeless Resource Event is an intervention program that helps change the lives of homeless veterans. Those who attend the program will receive free haircuts and have access to showers and laundry services. Guests will also receive bus coupons, food, and clothing. Free medical checkups will be available at the event. The program teaches veterans about counseling services, medical services, and business development services. This event will be held at Perris Hill Park.
The Reaching New Heights Foundation is an organization that provides services to veterans transitioning from incarceration, homelessness, or active duty. The group offers mental health services to help veterans impacted by PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. Many colleges have partnered with the foundation to help veterans reach their educational goals, such as Chaffey Community College, Riverside Community College, and the University of Phoenix. The group also organizes The Ruck Challenge 10K Walk/Run.
