This May, the city of San Bernardino, California will be holding a Cinco De Mayo celebration at the Court Street Square.
The City of San Bernardino’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department has been hosting Cinco De Mayo festivals since 2016. The holiday was originally a celebration of when the Mexican Army overcame the French during the Battle of Puebla, but has since evolved into a day that honors Mexican culture. Attendees are given a chance to learn more about Mexican history and the contributions the culture has made to the community.
The Cinco De Mayo festival will feature live entertainment, a classic car show, art exhibits, and free crafts. There will also be various vendors attending the event offering food and other wares that can be purchased. Businesses participating during the celebration can bring Business Cards to pass out to people at the festival, which can help provide helpful contact information and create new connections with consumers.
Those who are interested in attending San Bernardino’s Cinco De Mayo celebration can visit the Court Street Square this Saturday, May 4. The event will begin at 5:00 pm and will be free to enter. Money will be required to buy items from booths at the festival. An updated lineup of entertainers and participating vendors will be available on the event page later this April.
