Optimal Learning will organize a fun math event for kids in March at its branch in San Bernardino.
Friends, Fractions, and Fun is an activity where children can participate in math activities that use entertaining games to help improve their familiarity with the subject. There will be a fractions-themed escape room and presentations about the importance of fractions. Students will receive a snack at the program and will have a chance to win prizes at the end of the event. All materials needed for the event will be provided by the organizers. Parents are allowed to volunteer at the activity.
Optimal Learning is a nonprofit organization that educates children in low-income communities. The group creates a supportive and goal-based environment to help kids achieve academic independence. Optimal Learning was formed in 2022 in response to local students falling behind in their education because of the pandemic. The group’s director of strategic instruction is Pamela Robertson, an educator with a degree from National University.
The fraction-themed event will be held from March 18th to March 21st. Each session of the event will take place from 8:30am to 11:30am. General admission to the activity is $50 per person. Those who can only attend two days of the program can pay $25. Nonprofits that organize similar educational experiences can use poster printing to market their child-friendly events to others.
