Inland Valley Recovery Services (IVRS) will be partnering with the charitable organization Project Boon this December to host a special event in San Bernardino.
The IVRS Annual Christmas Event is a luncheon that focuses on assisting underserved families in San Bernardino County. Those in need who attend the event will be given warm meals and a chance to win prizes in a raffle. Children at the luncheon can receive stockings and toys, while also getting to play games and work on crafts projects. People can pick out Apparel at the on-site clothes closet.
Project Boon is a group located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The organization strives to make a difference in underserved communities by hosting a variety of charitable events throughout the year. The functions offered include an Easter luncheon, Thanksgiving meals, and a backpack event at the Bloomington Community Health Center. Organizations like this that host public events can invest in poster printing to inform the community in advance.
The IVRS Annual Christmas Event will be held on Wednesday, December 18 from noon to 4:00 pm. People who would like to volunteer during the luncheon can register online for a designated timeslot. Volunteers must purchase a Project Boon T-shirt for $8 to wear while at the event. Positions include prepping for the luncheon and cleaning up after the event.
