San Bernardino to get a good scare

Our Calendars are turned to October, and that means time for Halloween. For those who enjoy a good scare and plenty of dancing, the Escape Psycho Circus will be coming to town at the end of the month. Four stages and mazes will have performers, pyrotechnics, and glow-in-the-dark 3D superstructures.

The highlight of the experience will be the story of Alice in Wonderland with a considerable twist: Alice has morphed into a demonic, zombified leader of a mob of undead cannibals that have destroyed Wonderland.

Before the performances, guests can meander through the haunted labyrinths. These mazes will have menacing creatures jumping out at every turn.

Over 50 DJs such as Black Gummy, Andrew Beyer, and Yellow Claw will be hosting dark pyrotechnics as the crowd dances along with geeks, freaks, contortionists, fortune tellers, and assorted other formidable creatures.

Escape Psycho Circus, one of the Insomniac festivals, has a charitable side as well. One dollar per ticket and $10 per guest list attendee will go to help selected charities in the San Bernardino area. Some of these include Arrowhead United Way, Sheriff’s Gift of Love, and the NOS Foundation.

The circus will be at the National Orange Show Center, 689 S. E. ST. here in San Bernardino on October 28 and 29, with the main show starting at 4:00 pm.
