Baseball and Fireworks are the name of the game here in town for this year’s Independence Day celebrations.
Sports fans and those of us who love fireworks will be heading to San Manuel Stadium for the game between our Inland Empire 66ers and the Stockton Ports. Nissan of San Bernardino will be presenting its 4th of July Firework Extravaganza following the game.
The Redlands will have a Community Fourth of July Celebration. The activities in the Sylvan Park will begin with the Endless Maze Band which will be followed by the parade. After the parade Kevin Williams will reminisce with sounds from the parade. Then the flag raising ceremony will be accompanied by the 4th of July Band.
After the fun in the park, the celebration will continue at the University of Redlands Stadium. A flag ceremony, the Redlands 4th of July Band, the Connie Roener Band, a four T-34’s flyover and skydivers will precede the fireworks.
The baseball game in San Manuel Stadium, 280 South E Street, will start at 7:00 pm on July 4th.
Also on the 4th of July, the Redlands’ parade will step off on Colton Street Avenue at Franklin School at 10:30 am and march around Sylvan Park.
