A Mayor’s Mascarade Ball is coming to Cal State San Bernardino this spring.
The event is being put on by the Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy (YVYLA). It is meant as an opportunity to honor the mayors of the Inland Valley, including Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval, Rancho Cucamonga Mayor L. Dennis Michael and Adelanto Mayor Gabriel Reyes.
Established in 2001, the YVYLA is an organization that offers support services to youth, including mentoring, community service opportunities, education and employment. They’ve served over 200,000 in this mission, in part thanks to the support from the various town leaders. The nonprofit organization’s overall goal is to encourage young people to make more positive life choices to improve society.
The Mayors Masquerade Ball is more than just an excuse for fanfare, as proceeds from both ticket sales and sponsorships will also be used for a fundraising mission for the YVYLA programs.
The event will be emceed by Donald English, Ed.D, President of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District.
Participants of the ball are encouraged to wear decorative masks and dress formally as they attend the event’s various entertainment offerings, including live music.
High society functions like these may choose to use business card printing for networking opportunities.
The 2025 Mayors Masquerade Ball is happening on May 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino at 5500 University Parkway. Tickets are available online.
