San Bernardino foster agency to hold approval orientation

The Children’s Plus Foster Family Agency in San Bernardino will be holding an orientation in May for new applicants.

The Resource Family Approval Orientation is a mandatory event for people interested in becoming a caregiver. The meeting will be for New Resource Family applicants and is mandated by a California state statute. Resource Family Approval (RFA) will allow potential parents to provide legal guardianship for the care of kids and young adults in child welfare and probation systems. RFA creates a platform to help foster families with training and information. The process has been streamlined to combine necessary licenses and approval requirements.

The Children’s Plus Foster Family Agency is a non-profit group founded in 2001 to provide kids with nurturing environments that support natural development. The organization also gives children the resources needed to smoothly transition back into their biological families and adulthood. Basic requirements for applicants include being trained in first aid and having a reliable vehicle. Agencies like this can use brochure printing to easily communicate their guidelines to clientele.

The approval orientation will be held on Thursday, May 20 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Those who wish to become a caregiver can visit the organization’s website to find important downloadable files to complete. Potential foster parents can contact the agency’s recruitment specialist at (909) 889-3930 for additional information.
