The San Bernardino County Museum will be presenting its second of five Dome Talks for 2017 in the middle of March.
The series connects the community with technologists, researchers, scientists, and historians who will be discussing past, present, and future topics concerning our area.
This presentation will be given by Frances Dinkelspiel, author of Tangled Vines: Greed, Murder, Obsession, and an Arsonist in the Vineyards of California. This is true story of the mysterious murder of Rancho Cucamonga’s John Rains intertwined with California wine collecting and winemaking.
The Los Angeles Book Review says:
“From its explosive prologue to the very last sentence, Frances Dinkelspiel has written an utterly riveting true crime book... Unlike ...the wine collectors in Tangled Vines, I cannot taste 'the earth, the sun, the sky, and the steady hand of the winemaker in that glass. But I know a spectacular book when I read one.”
Doors for this special occasion will open at 6:30 pm. Dinkelspiel will begin her discussion at 7:00 pm. The San Bernardino County Museum Association will provide light refreshments.
San Bernardino residents will want to purchase tickets soon to secure a space as seating is limited and mark their Calendars. The event will be at the San Bernardino County Museum, 2024 Orange Tree Lane, Redlands on the evening of Thursday, March 16. Tickets will be $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
