Local venue to hold a week-end of music

The first annual ‘Blaze ‘n’ Glory’ event takes place next month, and will be a music festival of rock, hip hop, roots and reggae for all ages.

More than 20 artists will perform over the two days, bringing a wide spectrum of genres to attendees as part of what is hoped to become an annual event.

The weekend will have a carnival atmosphere, with attractions, rides, and games of chance. Guests can also enjoy the Interactive Vendor Village. Attendees are invited to bring blankets, matches, sun block, sunglasses, food in one-gallon clear baggs, two water bottles per person, disposable cameras, and hats.

Two stages at the venue will have continuous music. The first night will include bands like Method Man, Iration, Redman, Tribal Seeds, Collie Budda, Stick Figure, Ballyhoo and Radical Something. The second evening will include Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Pepper, The Green, Body Count, and Twiztid, to name a few acts. Pictures taken at this event should be ideal for later vintage poster printing.

Anyone under 21 will not be allowed in the VIP bar areas. Organizers warn that the event will be outdoors and the weather is likely to be hot, so they strongly caution parents about bringing small children.

The festival is scheduled for Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, at the San Manuel Amphitheater, San Bernardino. Music is on stage from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm each day.
