Garner Holt Production is hosting a major exhibit at the San Bernardino Country Museum next month.
The exhibit is called ‘Mechanized Magic: How Do You Make Things Move?’ The company is known for creating real life mechanical characters or animatronics for museum, theme parks, movies, and retail locations. Its work includes lifelike people and animals.
The exhibit traces 40 years of research and design by Garner Holt and his creative team. The exhibit will have historic artifacts, video clips, and interactive displays. The public education display focuses on science, technology, engineering, and art.
Holt says it was exciting to look back on 40 years of creating magic for audiences all over the world. He founded the company at 16 years old in his parents’ basement. San Bernardino has Print shops that design Promotional Products for exhibits like this.
The San Bernardino County Museum director says the goal of the exhibit is to encourage local youth to consider careers in science, technology, and engineering. These types of inventions are applicable to other industries like manufacturing, computer science, and medicine.
The San Bernardino Country Museum is located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane. Children under five are free. The exhibit is open Tuesday to Friday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm until November 25.
