Next month, San Bernardino will get the opportunity to look to the sky for something more than the weather.
SBD Fest Air Show and Benefit Concert will be presenting a country concert and, according to the organizers, aerial performances. Proceeds from the event will go to the Hero’s Wings Foundation, an organization that offers support and transportation to needy first responders and veterans.
Craig Campbell and Cassadee Pope will be in concert. Food will be for sale and there will be live musical performances throughout the event. Some of the aerial performances will include the Warbirds, stunt aircraft, skydivers, and the famous Patriot Jet Team - a squadron of six jets that fly in close formation at high speeds while executing tight aerial maneuvers. Other aerial performers will be Tumbling Bear, Just in Time Sky divers, Julie Clark in a T-34, and Ace Maker in a T-33.
Also in the air will be helicopter demonstrations and vintage aircraft. Static displays of new and vintage military aircraft will be on display, as will high-performance, vintage, and classic cars. Red Bull will be presenting a stunt motorcycle show as well. Cameras and small camera equipment will be allowed, so this will be a chance to get some motorcycle action shots for later poster printing.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the SB International Airport, San Bernardino.
