What's Happening in Orange, CA…

Orange celebrates day of the dead

A themed party in Orange will bring together art, culture, and community in an evening dedicated to the traditional Mexican holiday.

OCAG proudly presents The Día de los Muertos Passport Celebration, a passport-style progressive event at eight different participating locations. This festive event will feature each stop focusing on a different component of Día de los Muertos with art exhibits, food, and wine throughout the evening.

Upon arrival, guests will receive a passport to use as a map for each stop, where they can enjoy a collection by local artists whose work is inspired by Día de los Muertos. At each stop, guests can indulge in passed appetizers and wine tasting. Participants are encouraged to reserve passports in advance of the event and instructions on how to pick up their passports will be sent via email in advance of the event.

Participants will receive a stamp at each stop after participating in a wine tasting and will be entered into a drawing at the end of the night for completing all the stops on the passport. Guests are encouraged to dress festively as they make their way around the plaza visiting the stops. Banner printing can be used to decorate a themed event.

The Día de los Muertos Passport Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, November 1 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Orange Plaza.
