Orange-area venue concert to celebrate Nickelodeon icon

A concert celebrating the music of the Nickelodeon animated show “Hey Arnold!” is coming to an Orange area venue this fall.

Held at The Observatory in Santa Ana, the live concert features original composer Jim Lang with the help of The PS 118 AllStars. The show will also feature special guest Craig Bartlett, who is the creator of “Hey Arnold!”

Coinciding with the show’s 30th anniversary, “The Music of Hey Arnold! Live!” features the series’ signature blend of orchestrally arranged jazz with elements of blues, funk, R&B, and hip-hop.

With plenty of fan-favorite tracks as part of the setlist, the concert will feature nostalgic multimedia imagery and stories from insiders about the creation of the music, including from Bartlett and Lang.

The show’s titular Arnold is a boy with a football-shaped head who navigates the complicated world of living in a big city while trying to be a kid.

Taking place as part of a nationwide tour, the “Hey Arnold!” original soundtrack performance will make stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, New Orleans, Boston, Seattle, and New York City, among many other locations.

Soundtrack concerts like this may choose to use flyer printing to create music sheets and low-cost promotion in the community.

The show is happening at 8:00 pm, with doors open at 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 29 at The Observatory at 3503 S. Harbor Blvd in Santa Ana.
