Young people who are fans of video games will have a proverbial feast of activities to choose from at the Monrovia Public Library throughout the month of July.
Five different video game-themed events are taking place at the library’s Story Room for kids aged six to eleven.
A series of Video Game Free Play events will take place on July 2, 16, and 30. This drop-in event will offer participants the chance to play a variety of different video games or board games via the library’s collection. With a large screen and multiplayer games at the ready, this unstructured activity is available for children of any skill level with no registration needed. The events all take place from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm each day.
For children who are more into the arts and crafts side of things, but who enjoy the characters, artwork and stories of video games, more events are being offered at the library in a slightly more structured environment. Two Level Up Crafts events will happen in July: one focusing on Super Marion on July 6 and another on Pokémon on July 20. They both take place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on their respective days.
Video game and craft events like this may choose to use printing services to create art templates, instruction sheets, scoreboards, and inventory lists.
The Video Game Free Play events and the Level Up Crafts Events both take place at the Monrovia Public Library at 321 S Myrtle Avenue.
