Childrens cupcake competition on the way to Monrovia

Monrovia will host an opportunity for children to show off their baking skills with the upcoming Kids’ Cupcake Wars event at the Saute Culinary Academy this October.

The event is meant as a showcase for children to flex their creativity in the kitchen and their cupcake decorating skills. However, as well as being a competition, the event will serve as a full-blown class in cupcake decorating.

Judges will be on site to assess each cupcake, evaluating the desserts based on both creativity and presentation.

The class is for children ages 6-12, and the winner of the competition will be named Cupcake Champion.

The event is an homage to a reality show on the Food Network called Cupcake Wars. In that show, adult contestants compete for a grand prize of $10,000 and a job opportunity as a professional cupcake baker. The series even has episodes with specific themes, such as Star Wars or the Espys.

The admission for the cupcake competition is $50 per person. With that ticket price comes all the needed ingredients, kitchen appliances, and utensils to create the confectionery treats. Culinary events like this may choose to use Stationery printers to create recipe sheets, step-by-step instructions or Brochures.

The Kids’ Cupcake Wars event is due to take place on Saturday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Saute Culinary Academy, located at 150 Colorado Blvd in Monrovia.
