Los Alamitos is hosting a Veterans’ Job Fair at the Joint Forces Training Base this January.
The event is aimed at veterans who wish to explore local work opportunities and get in touch with businesses in the Los Alamitos area. Networking opportunities will also be available for participants who want to take their careers to the next step.
A valid form of identification is required to enter the job fair, which is hosted by Work for Warriors. The free career assistance program based in California also offers resumé-building tips, interview preparation, and referrals, among other services.
Work for Warriors also offers employers the opportunity to get in touch with veteran talent through its network. In addition, the program offers support to Youth Academy graduates, dependents of veterans, and military spouses.
The Joint Forces Training Base, a joint training site for National Guard members, features cutting-edge infrastructure and services for veterans. Specifically, the National Guard can provide guidance for veterans who want to learn more about the Wounded Warriors project, their veteran benefits and how to get in touch with the American Red Cross crisis line.
Job fairs like this may choose to use business card printing for hiring companies to stay in touch with potential applicants.
The fair is happening on Saturday, January 24 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Joint Forces Training Base at 11206 Lexington Drive in Los Alamitos.
