Center For Discovery, a company with a string of facilities in California, recently opened a new facility in Los Alamitos.
This facility focuses on eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder, and provides both adolescents and adults with partial hospitalization and an intensive outpatient program.
The facility focuses on a calming environment to promote healing and relaxation for the patients. The certified eating disorder treatment professionals provide an eating disorder program that helps the patient learn more about nutrition, and allows them to take part in therapy, both group as well as individual. They also have a weekly support group that is open to all patients, as well as members of the surrounding community.
Mark Hobbins, the president and Chief Operations Officer of Center For Discovery, said about the recent expansion:
