The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, located approximately seven miles from Los Alamitos, has an exciting program for the fall. The shows includes cabaret theater, comedy, dance, and concerts.
James Garner will perform this Sunday, September 30 with a tribute to Johnny Cash. Beginning at 2:00 pm, Garner and his band will recreate the biggest hits of the folk and country legend.
On October 3 and 4 the Cabaret Series presents David Burnham at 7:00 pm. The Broadway Star and baritone is known for his performance in ‘Wicked’ and ‘A Light in the Piazza’. Tickets can be purchased for dinner and beverages, which will be served at 6:00 to 6:45 pm before the show.
Circe Mechanics 42 FT - A Menagerie of Mechanical Marvels will perform on October 13 at 8:00 pm. The show will have a variety of circus acts, such as acrobats, feats of strength, aerialists, and a mechanical horse. Los Alamitos has Print shops that design Promotional Products for shows like this.
On November 10 at 8:00 pm, the multilingual dance company Contra Tiempo with Las Cafeteras will perform. Viewers can expect salsa dancing, hip-hop, urban and contemporary dance.
The Carpenter Center Exhibit is open during all performances. It has photos, memorabilia, and collectibles from the Carpenter's career. The facility is located at 6200 Atherton Street, Long Beach.
