Orange County celebrates summer with lobster

The 7th annual Lobsterfest Newport Beach is taking place next month, and is a fundraiser for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Leadership Tomorrow

The main draw of the festival is obviously the lobster, and all attendees are promised at least one. There will also be clams, crab and shrimp to feast on, as well as steak, salad and potatoes. Guests can refresh themselves at a cash bar.

The event takes place at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and visitors will have the chance to try the facilities like swimming, visiting the children's playground, and renting a kayak or a canoe

In addition to the resort, guests will be treated to music by Pinch Me and appearances by Lido the Lobster.

Leadership Tomorrow, as its name suggests, helps to train future leaders. The Make-a-Wish Foundation grants wishes to seriously ill children.

It is likely that lobster fans from nearby communities such as Los Alamitos will be interested in learning about this festival. To help spread the word, local printing companies may be asked to provide products such as Flyers and Posters.

Lobsterfest Newport Beach will be held at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina on August 8 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM. General admission tickets for adults are $60 per person or $80 on the day of the event and $20 for children. VIP tickets cost $150 and include all-you-can-eat lobster. A table of 10 is $1,500.
