Meat and dairy-free event comes to Los Alamitos area
About 20 miles from Los Alamitos, a celebration of veganism will be held on the lawn in front of Walter Pyramid located at California State University, 1250 N Bellflower Blvd. There will be paid parking available for those that attend.
The Long Beach Vegan Food and Music Festival will have a Vegan Chili Cook-off and a panel of judges will decide who the winner is. The victorious chef will receive a trophy and gift basket.
The festival will feature several vendors with food and merchandise for sale. There will be clothing, soap, beauty products, natural pet supplies, plants, hair dyes, nail polish, fabrics, shoes, handbags, and more.
Food vendors will offer a variety of vegan foods. Guests can expect cheesecake, brownies, pies, cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, fruits, meat substitutes, vegetables, kettle corn, herbs, jams, snack foods, Italian ice, and beverages, all made without using meat or dairy products.
Musical groups will perform throughout the day for those that attend the festival. The children’s area will have face painting, hula hooping, and special art and craft activities. For children under 12, admission is free.
Los Alamitos has printing services that can assist with graphic design of printed materials for marketing purposes for businesses, retail stores, restaurants, vegan businesses, and associations.
