The Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California will be taking new students for swimming lessons this April.
The Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) is opening their pool to the community for people who wish to learn how to swim. All swim courses will include basic swim instructions and information about general water safety skills. Group classes are 30 minutes long and meet twice a week, ensuring all students receive the necessary education needed for swimming confidently. Private lessons are also available, but students must be pre-approved.
Swimming lessons taught by the JFTB will vary in cost depending on the kind of class people select. Weekday courses cost $85 for civilians and are offered at a discount for veterans and active service members. Private lessons will be more expensive, starting at $146 for the general public and $137 for veterans. Refunds will be given to those unable to attend classes due to sickness, though authorized documentation will be required as proof.
Registration for civilians and veterans who are interested in swimming lessons will begin on April 15th. The first session will start on April 22nd and will continue until May 25th. There will be four other sessions that the community can register for instead if they are unable to attend the first set of lessons. Guests are encouraged to use their own printing services to Print and complete their registration Forms in advance.
