Los Alamitos to set up winter wonderland experience

The Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department will be holding a Winter Wonderland event this December at the St. Isidore Historical Plaza.

Families can attend an upcoming holiday event to enjoy a variety of seasonal activities. The festival will include a designated play area filled with snow, sledding, and a tree lighting ceremony. Guests can visit Santa’s Village and purchase food and beverages from participating food trucks. Organizations that put together seasonal events like this can use printing services to make advertisements to get locals interested in attending.

The festival will be benefiting the MemorialCare Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital. Attendees can bring both new and unwrapped toys to donate during the event. Those interested in helping out with the festivities can sign up as a volunteer for the winter wonderland. There are several positions available to assist with, such as setting up vendor booths and picking up trash during the event. Volunteers need to be 16 years old or above.

The Winter Wonderland event will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. There is no price to attend the festival, and no registration is needed before visiting. Guests should dress appropriately for the chilly weather. Anyone who wants to help with the festival can become a volunteer by registering for a position online.
