Los Alamitos to present seasonal family festival

The Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation will organize a winter fest this December in Long Beach, California.

The Winter Family Festival is a program where people can learn about the Povuun'nga through various activities. Guests can enjoy visiting the fest's petting zoo, going on carriage rides, viewing musical performances, and participating in hands-on activities. Food may be bought from on-site merchants during the event. A free shuttle service will be provided to guests to transport them from the designated parking lot to the festival venue. The Port of Long Beach helped support this program.

The Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation is a historic landmark found in Long Beach that consists of a ranch house, gardens, and a restored barnyard with live animals. Several events have been held at the site, such as the Pickling Workshop with Chef Debbi Dubbs, Nature Journaling Workshop, and Native Plant Dyes: A Family-Friendly Workshop. Student and senior memberships to the foundation are $40, and individual memberships cost $60 per person.

The family fest will be held on Saturday, December 10 from noon to 4:00 pm. Tickets to the winter festival will cost $18 for those 12 and older and $15 for children aged 3 to 11. All tickets for the event must be bought in advance. Organizations that promote seasonal activities for local families may use banner printing to make festive outdoor displays.
