Los Alamitos to organize orchestra festival

Los Alamitos High School will host a music festival in March that features performances from several schools.

The All District Orchestra Festival is an experience where people can hear performances from talented students in the Los Alamitos Instrumental Music program.

The String and Chamber Orchestra will perform at the event. The other schools participating will include McAuliffe Middle School and Oak Middle School. Attendees will also get to hear a performance by elementary school string players.

The Los Alamitos High School Instrumental Music program is comprised of numerous bands, including three jazz ensembles, a marching band, and an indoor drum line. The program aims to develop lifelong relationships between students and music, and the director of the high school’s jazz and orchestra band is Justin Padilla.

An experienced saxophone player, he has worked in many music programs throughout Orange County and Long Beach. Padilla also gives presentations at the California State University Long Beach. He has won several awards, such as the 2014 Los Alamitos District Teacher of the Year award.

The orchestra festival will be held on Saturday, March 2nd. The duration of the performance will be from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, and there is no registration required for the event.

High schools that host multi-school music performances like this may use banner printing to create marketing materials that draw more attention to their concerts.
