Los Alamitos to organize expo for teens

Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services will be holding an expo in April for teenage students at the Los Alamitos Community Center.

The Thrive Teen Expo is an event where students can learn important life skills alongside their peers. The convention will feature lessons that teach attendees about finances, conflict resolution, goal setting, and public speaking. There will also be a presentation at the expo for managing stress, creating healthy relationships, and building self-confidence. Scholarships will be available during the Thrive Teen Expo. The activity is open to both middle schoolers and high schoolers.

The Los Alamitos Community Center is a local venue people may use for special events like birthday celebrations. The building consists of a large, medium, and small activity room. The center also contains a lounge and craft room. Those interested in using the facility must fill out a form and pay a $40 application fee. No decorations are allowed to be attached on the walls inside the community center. People who organize activities at public facilities like this may use banner printing to produce outdoor ads for their events.

The Thrive Teen Expo will take place on Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Registration for the experience will cost students $5. Only those who are appropriately aged for the conference will be allowed to partake in the activities.
