Los Alamitos to offer dance class for children

The Esencia Flamenca Dance Company in Los Alamitos will hold a flamenco dance class in January for kids.

Fiestita Flamenca is a dance program where children can learn about Spanish culture and how to dance. The experience will help kids improve their rhythm and teach them words in Spanish. The students will also get to sing songs during the program. The lesson is intended for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Dance studios offering programs like this may use Print shops to create advertising materials to share with families in their community.

The Esencia Flamenca Dance Company is a school owned by Sarah Parra that offers flamenco courses for all skill levels. Parra is a dance instructor from San Diego, California who began her dance studies when she was 5. She has studied many kinds of dance styles, including jazz, tap, and ballet. Parra went to school at UC Irvine and moved to Spain to study dance in cities like Madrid and Sevilla. She opened her dance company in 2000 and has two locations for classes.

The dance program will be held on Tuesday, January 9, and the class will begin at 10:00am. The cost to participate in the course is $29.99, which includes a second session with the dance company. The dance sessions will last for 45 minutes each.
