Los Alamitos to Move n Groove for charity

The Prosthetics & Orthotics program at California State University will be hosting a virtual athletic event this August in Los Alamitos.

The Virtual Move n’ Groove is an online mobility event designed to motivate people to get physically active while supporting a good cause. Those who partake in the event are welcome to do any activity so long as it gets the person moving. The virtual fundraiser will be donating all money earned at the event to the organization A Leg to Stand On (ALTSO). Printing services can help organizers promote charities like this through Posters and Flyers.

ALTSO is a non-profit group that has been helping kids with untreated limb disabilities since 2003. The organization works with children throughout the world, aiding families through local treatment providers in Africa, Asia, and South America. ALTSO has given over 18,500 kids free orthopedic care. The group also hosts many fundraisers for their cause, including RockForALTSO and SweatForALTSO.

The charitable activity will be held on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. Those interested in participating in the Virtual Move n’ Groove can pay $10 to sign up for the 5K or 1 Mile. Anyone who wants to give additional assistance to ALTSO can donate on its website. The current goal for the event is to raise $10,000 for the organization’s cause.
