Pathways to Independence in Los Alamitos will be holding a virtual charity concert this October that features Brett Young.
The Brett Young Free Live Stream Benefit Concert is an online fundraiser for Pathways to Independence. Attendees can listen to Brett Young perform some fan favorites from his career while donating on the event's website. Young won the Country Music Awards’ New Male Vocalist of the Year in 2018 and has released several hit songs like Here Tonight and In Case You Didn’t Know. He is originally from South California and grew up in Huntington Beach.
Pathways to Independence is a corporation that started in 1991 to transform the lives of young women who have endured tragic circumstances by offering education, therapy, and housing. The organization was created by Dave and Joyce Bishop and has helped over 250 girls. Some of the services provided to women in need include access to local professionals, weekly mentor interactions, and help with housing expenses.
The benefit concert will be held on Friday, October 2 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. While the event is free, viewers can still donate online to help Pathways to Independence meet their fundraising goal of $50,000. The corporation has currently raised over $35,000 with the help of more than 290 donors. Charitable groups that hold fundraisers like this can use flyer printing to make people aware of the event.
