Fiddler’s Pub on the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos will hold an event to benefit local firefighters.
The Firefighter’s Luncheon is an event organized by Rick Ortiz where people can show their support for local firefighters and help fund the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association. The venue will serve chicken and tri-tip steaks to guests. There will be no bar available during the luncheon.
The Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association was founded in 1906 to provide programs and assistance to those in the profession. Many benefits are offered by the organization, like the Relief Kaiser Medical Plan, The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund, and Estate Planning Benefits. Members of the group can also receive death benefits for up to $5,000.
The president of the association’s board of trustees is Chris Stine, and the vice president is Jim Duffy. Both members of the committee have been firefighters and are also part of the board for The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund. The executive director of the relief association is Todd Layfer.
The Firefighter’s Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Tickets to the event will cost $20 per person, and payments to the luncheon must be made to Rick Ortiz. The deadline to pay for the event is Monday, March 12th.
Those who organize luncheons for organizations such as this may use poster printing services to promote the fundraising activities.
