Los Alamitos to host dance festival

The Feria de Abril celebration will be returning in May to the St. Isidore Historical Plaza in Los Alamitos.

Feria de Abril is a festival where people can learn dances while helping the St. Isidore Historical Plaza raise money. During the event, attendees will see performances from groups such as Cuadro Flamenco Rina Orellana, Lunares Flamenco, and the Esencia Flamenca Dance Co. and School. Guests may even participate in Sevillana courses throughout the festival. Paella and wine will also be available to buy from vendors during the celebration.

The St. Isidore Historical Plaza is a historical landmark established in 1921 that serves as an event venue. All donations to the structure will restore, preserve, and protect the property. Festival attendees can also donate to cover event costs such as stage rentals and umbrella rentals. People may volunteer at the plaza to assist with its community services or help in the on-site administrative offices. Organizations that look after historic structures like this may use poster printing to promote their fundraisers.

Feria de Abril will be held on Sunday, May 1 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Tickets to the event currently cost $25 for adults and $12 for children. The cost of admission will increase after April 1. The Sevillana courses will start at 10:30 am, and the live performances will begin at 11:00 am.
