Los Alamitos to hold tamale fundraiser

The St. Isidore Historical Plaza will be hosting a fundraiser in Los Alamitos to help protect and preserve the historic site.

The Tamale Pre-order At the Plaza is a special fundraising activity where people can support a local structure and event center while enjoying various flavors of tamales. There will be numerous types to choose from, including beef, pork, green chili and cheese, and pineapple and raisin. The food's quantity is limited, and all orders must be made in advance. Those who hold food-themed fundraisers like this can use flyer printing to get more locals interested in the event.

The St. Isidore Historical Plaza is one of Los Alamitos's oldest standing structures and is used as a community center and park. Those interested in contributing to the preservation of the property can become members of the plaza or volunteer at the site's events. People can also purchase bricks to help fund the restoration efforts for $75. Businesses that wish to help support the structure's preservation may buy pavers starting at $250. Logos can be added to the pavers for an additional fee.

The tamales will be distributed to the public on Saturday, June 11 from noon to 2:00 pm. Customers can purchase the food for $25 per dozen. Those who want to order tamales can email the event organizers at tamaleworkshop@yahoo.com. People can also visit the plaza's website to pay online.
