Los Alamitos to hold conference for women

The City of Los Alamitos will organize a women's convention in October at the Los Alamitos Community Center.

The Elevate Women's Conference is a half-day experience that will help attendees with their professional and personal development. The event gives women a space to connect with their peers and local leaders through small group networking sessions and informative discussions. The conference will start with a message from the mayor of Los Alamitos, Shelley Hasselbrink. She will also give a keynote presentation on Breaking Free of Your Own Limiting Beliefs.

Several breakout sessions will be held during the convention for women to learn from, such as Cracking the Code to Unlock Powerful Communication Strategies, Embracing All That You Are… and Aren't, and Finding Support for the Invisible Weight/Pressure We Carry. Many successful presenters will be attending the conference, including Marie Knight, Amy Payne, and Angie Avery. There will even be a presentation from Tanya Doby, the mayor pro tempore of Los Alamitos.

The city's event will take place on Wednesday, October 12 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and will cost $40 per person. All guests must be at least 18 to partake in the conference. Seating is limited, so pre-registration for the women's convention is required. Organizations that hold public events like this may give guests promotional Pens at their programs to connect with attendees.
