Los Alamitos to celebrate week-long festival

The city of Los Alamitos will be partnering with MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach to organize a weeklong event in September.

Week of Los Al is a community festival offering several family-friendly activities. The celebration will start with a citywide volunteering event where people can help with projects like food distribution and window washing. The local community center will host a special family day with many entertaining games, including a mini escape room, Nerf wars, and an obstacle course. Children may also participate in youth art workshops held throughout the week.

This year, Week of Los Al will be debuting its new Street Fair to conclude the festival, which features activities such as a farmers’ market, live band performances, and a kids’ zone. Attendees can browse artisan vendors and dress up in Apparel from their favorite decade to celebrate the city’s history. Sponsorships for the event will start at $500. Businesses that attend fairs similar to this may use banner printing for increased brand visibility.

The Week of Los Al will begin on Friday, September 10 and will continue until Saturday, September 18th. Those interested in the event’s art workshops and family day activities must register in advance. People wishing to help during the Serve Los Al volunteering program can visit its website to see which projects are available to join.
