Los Alamitos theatre to debut new comedy show

The Bold Theatre in Los Alamitos will be debuting a pandemic-themed comedy production in March.

Shut Up is a comedic show written and directed by John J. Pistone. The play is about an unfortunate situation a recent couple faces after being forced to quarantine together until the pandemic subsides. The team at the theatre will be fully vaccinated, and all high-touch areas in the venue will get regularly sanitized. Masks are not required to see shows at the Bold Theatre, though wearing a face covering is still highly suggested by the staff.

The Bold Theatre was founded by John J. Pistone, a veteran and graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He has experience starring in commercials, tv, and films. Ray Hanna is the director of the organization, and Darrin Reed is the producer. The theatre is an ensemble-driven company and has cast local actors such as Jeffery Santos, Cara Loften, and Jonny Lovo. Those interested in becoming an actor for the organization can submit a self-Tape when the theatre opens auditions again.

Shut Up will have its world premiere on Friday, March 25th from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets to view the performance start at $25. The show will continue each weekend until Sunday, April 10th. Discounts are available for viewers who are students, veterans, or industry workers. Theatres that organize productions like this may use poster printing to attract more audience members to the show.
