Children who need supplies and clothing for school can attend an upcoming event in Los Alamitos held by the Casa Youth Shelter (CYS).
The CYS Back to School Boutique is a charitable program where children in need can receive free items to help improve their upcoming school year. Participants will be given clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and school supplies. Non-perishable food will also be available to attendees. The first 50 people to sign up for the shelter’s event can receive a $100 gift card to Albertsons. Organizations that help the community with programs like this may use brochure printing to educate more locals about their cause.
The CYS is a non-profit group that cares for children aged 12-17. The organization provides many services, including counseling sessions and parenting classes. Past events held by the shelter include the Home for the Holidays Event, Movie Under The Stars, and Thrive Teen Expo. People can assist the group by donating over the phone, online, or by mail. Individuals may create their own fundraisers to support the CYS by using the organization’s third-party toolkit.
The boutique will be open on Thursday, July 7 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. All children must register for the event in advance, and only those invited to the program will be allowed to attend. The shelter will let one person per RSVP participate in the boutique.
