Los Alamitos school to perform musical

Los Alamitos High School Drama will be putting on a show in March based on the movie Freaky Friday.

Those in Los Alamitos who enjoy musical theater can view an adaption of Freaky Friday put on at Los Alamitos High School. The show is based on the book by Mary Rodgers and the movie versions of the story produced by Disney. The director of the production is Stacy Castiglione, a board member of the CA State Thespians and the Performing Arts Chair for Los Al. She went to school at Florida State University and has performed in several shows, such as The King and I.

Los Alamitos High School Drama is a group that helps prepare students for careers in theater by involving them with multiple full-scale productions and local events. Several classes are held by the organization, including Beginning Drama, Beginning Theatre Tech, and Theatre Production. Those in the drama program can participate in shows such as Charlotte’s Web, A Wrinkle in Time, and The Canterbury Tales. The group also offers a theater camp.

The Freaky Friday musical will run from Thursday, March 9 to Saturday, March 11. Each show will be held at the Los Alamitos Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost $15 per person and will be available to purchase starting February 27. High schools in charge of theatrical experiences like this may use brochure printing to provide visitors with programs for the show.
