The City of Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services is organizing an activity-filled event in September for families to enjoy.
The MemorialCare Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach Family Day is an experience where locals can interact and partake in child-friendly activities. The event includes an inflatable obstacle course, nerf zone, and a scavenger hunt for families. Kids can also receive sweets at the candy station and make a time capsule. The program will have two-time slots to ensure the recreation center is not overcrowded, and families only need to pay for one ticket.
The Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital is a not-for-profit organization that offers vital medical services to kids and expectant mothers. The group has multiple centers, including the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute, Cherese Mari Lauhlere BirthCare Center, and Children’s Pulmonary Institute. The nonprofit hospital treats more than 8,000 kids per year and helps deliver over 6,000 babies annually. The organization also provides medical attention to those with asthma, bone deformities, and blood disorders.
The family program will take place at the Los Alamitos Community Center on Sunday, September 18th. The first timeslot is from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and the second slot is from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission will cost $20 per family. Organizations in charge of family-friendly activities like this may use printing services to make Signs for the programs.
