Los Alamitos organization to provide family bonding activities

The Los Alamitos Community Center will be creating activity kits that families can use to spend time together in early 2021.

Parents interested in spending quality time with their children can purchase a kit from the Los Alamitos Community Center to experience various stay-at-home activities. The organization will be selling themed kits for father-daughter and mother-son experiences. Some of the activities in the packages include arts and crafts, DIY desserts, bug catching, and scavenger hunts. Family experiences such as this can be advertised to the public with poster printing.

The City of Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services group offers families a wide variety of safe events throughout the year. The organization has formed a virtual community center where guests can find free online classes and events. Other activities offered by the group include preschool programs, an on-site escape room, and youth and adult sports. All events held at the community center will abide by health protocols to help keep attendees safe.

The activity kits can be picked up on Thursday, February 11 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Both types of baskets will cost parents $25. Sales for the activity-filled packages will end on February 10.
