Los Alamitos organization to hold decennial fundraiser

The American Legion Post 716 in Los Alamitos will be organizing its 10th annual Toys for Tots Breakfast this winter.

The breakfast is a charitable activity where people can enjoy a meal while supporting a worthy cause. All of the proceeds raised during the event will be split between Toys for Tots and the legion’s adopted military families. Attendees can also bring toy donations to the breakfast. The meal will consist of eggs, coffee, juice, pancakes, potatoes, and sausage. There will be a honey-baked ham raffle held at the event.

The American Legion Post 716 was founded on February 17th, 1949. The organization consists of legionnaires, riders, and volunteers who help U.S. veterans and their families. Many yearly events are organized by the group, including monthly meetings, jam sessions, and car washes. There are also several nights where people can purchase meals from the organization to help support its cause. Charitable activities like these can be advertised to people with flyer printing.

The annual breakfast will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the cost of the meal will be $10 per person. Those interested in attending can contact the chapter president, Art Odom, for more details. Future activities held by the group can be seen on the organization’s Facebook page.
