In just over three weeks, the 2nd annual Military Family Appreciation Golf Tournament is taking place in Cypress next month. All proceeds will go to Quality of Life programs for the families of those on active duty and veterans.
Fees will include breakfast, a lunch buffet, a round of golf, and raffles. Awards will also be handed out for various contests, such as putting, closest to the pin, and longest drive. Fees are $80 for active duty and retired military, $90 for Department of Defense employees and veterans, and $100 for civilians. There will be a shotgun start at 8:00 am, and the deadline to register is September 7.
In addition to raising funds for a worthy charity, the golf tournament will be a networking opportunity for veterans and local business leaders. It may be an opportunity for some players to find a new career in the private sector.
Many of the people attending will come from nearby communities such as Los Alamitos, and quite a few of them may bring their Business Cards in order to make new connections. Local Print companies might find an increase in new business card printing orders for this reason.
