Fundraising to help at-risk cats in Los Alamitos area

The Navy Golf Course in the Los Alamitos area is hosting the Le Chic Chat Soiree to benefit cats in need.

Organized by Helen Sanders CatPaws, a cat rescue and animal advocacy non-profit, the fifth annual event is the organization’s main fundraising soiree, with each purchased ticket including hors d’oeuvres, games, and a silent auction.

Kittens will be available to interact with and some will be able to be adopted as part of the event’s many amenities, which also include a cocktail reception kicking off the festivities, games, a buffet dinner, a paddle raise, and the screening of a mission video.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Kwane Stewart, is a veterinary care organizer who helps pets owned by people experiencing homelessness receive care through her organization, Project Street Vet, which was given recognition by CNN with its 2023 Hero of the Year award.

Helen Sanders CatPaws Director Deborah Felin Magaldi said the soiree is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the saving of cats’ lives, with each ticket contributing to the organization’s rescue efforts for the year.

Fundraising parties like this may choose to use brochure printing to create donation information pamphlets, entree Menus, and auction item lists.

The event is happening next Saturday, November 7th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Navy Golf Course at 5660 Orangewood Avenue in Cypress.
