Festival celebrates Easter in Los Alamitos

The Spring Carnival, presented by the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department and AYSO Region 159, is taking place in a little over a month’s time.

There will be three egg hunts taking place for ages 1-3, 4-7, and 8-14. There will also be carnival games and prizes. In past years, there have been face painting and bounce houses. Families can also post for pictures with Peter Rabbit.

Vendors will be selling merchandise and food, or to provide information about community organizations. Applications are being accepted until March 7. A 10x10-foot space is $50, or $25 for nonprofit groups.

Organizers are currently running a coloring and drawing contest for kids; submissions are being accepted until March 18 at the Los Alamitos Community Center. The coloring section is for children from pre-school to 2nd grade and drawing is for those in grades 3 to 5. There will be three winners for each division and they will be announced during the Spring Carnival.

To advertise this event in the Los Alamitos area, organizers may invest in flyer printing services.

The Spring Carnival will be held at Little Cottonwood Park on March 26 from 9:00 - 11:00 am, although it will be canceled if it rains. To find out about becoming a vendor, or for more information about this event, call 562-430-1073.
