Author to visit Los Alamitos library via Zoom

Los Alamitos library patrons can view a conversation between accomplished writers on Zoom in March, presented by OC Public Libraries.

Marrie Stone, the co-host of Writers on Writing, will be talking with Jennifer Ackerman in a public Zoom call. Ackerman is a bird lover with three decades of writing experience who has recently published a book titled The Bird Way: A New Look at How Birds Talk, Work, Play, Parent, and Think. Her work was selected as one of the Washington Post’s Top Ten Books of May and was a semi-finalist for the Goodreads Choice Awards. Ackerman previously wrote a book called The Genius of Birds.

Stone is also a successful writer who has appeared in noteworthy publications such as The Write Launch, Orange Coast Magazine, and River Oak Review. Her radio show Writers on Writing has interviewed more than 500 people in the literary industry. She initially started her career as a corporate attorney after earning her law degree at the Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. Broadcasters like Marrie can connect with other people by handing out business cards.

The Zoom author visit will be held on March 11 and will start at 5:00 pm. Those who wish to view the conversation can register by emailing the organizers at jane.deeley@occr.ocgov.com. Fans of Ackerman can find a full list of her completed books and articles on her website.
