Author to virtually visit local Los Alamitos library

Los Alamitos families may view an online program offered by the Orange County Public Library in October where they can meet author Tina Athaide.

The Virtual Author Event is a series that invites writers to make guest appearances and talk about their written works. The upcoming program will have Tina Athaide as the invited author. Athaide has written multiple Books for children, including Meena’s Mindful Moment, Orange for the Sunsets, and Yum, Apples! She also works as an educator. Those who put together activities such as this may use Print shops to make Signs that promote the program to others.

Tina Athaide was born in Uganda and raised in the UK and Canada. She took her experiences growing up and used them as inspiration for Orange for the Sunsets. Athaide has visited book clubs to give presentations on her writing process and answer any questions people may have about her work. She also connects with her readers by attending book festivals, author panels, and conferences. People can request virtual or in-person visits from Athaide on her website.

The program will take place on Thursday, October 14 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Those interested in attending the presentation may register by emailing the library. No payment is necessary to sign up for the activity. Information about Athaide’s past works and upcoming events can be found on her site.
